Ending Corruption in India, Is it Ever Possible?

First I thought that India is the motherland of all corruptions, as every shade and shape of corruption is found within every segment of Indian society, it would be an endless task to enumerate the details of every corruption in India.

But I have very quickly learned that corruption is not just an Indian problem, nor it is synonymous with Indian as such. Corruption is a problem of the human mind, it is where you will find the deep roots of every corruption imaginable. It is the human mind that is corrupt, hence a solution must be found for the human itself, so it can eradicate all sorts of viruses from its own mind.

In terms of responsibility, every human being is self-responsible to eradicate corruption, we simply cannot pass the buck to political leaders to sort this problem. Certainly demanding to legalize or bring about books of laws to contain or control corruption is a vain exercise.

Then, exactly how should corruption be handled?

Corruption has a wide range of definitions. From the most obvious definitions to not so obvious ones. Clearly, paying a so-called bribe or 'commissions' to get any public service which should have been rendered to you regardless, will be seen as 'corruption'. Or a government minister, instead of allocating funds to projects, he find ways to move the money to his own pocket, there you have another obvious definition of corruption.

Likewise, many obvious dealings within day to day business we can find ample points of corruptions. There were days, for a large sum, visitor Visas to Canada could be arranged, or real passports without any documents whatsoever could be produced. I remember how I got my first driver's license in Sri Lanka. During driving test, while making a left turn, I drove right over the curb, almost ran into adjacent vehicles. Hey, with the power of bribe through the middle man, I got my license anyways, I never dared to drive in Sri-Lanka, it would have been suicidal. Another definition of corruption.

This is where the battle against corruption is lost, because the root cause of corruption is not understood, hence trying to solve a problem without even understanding the exact nature of the problem.

Inequality is the root cause of corruption, simple as that. We have 1 billion humans on the brink of starvation every night, we have 3 billion humans living under $2 dollars a day in very deplorable living conditions, then we have a shrinking middle class who are struggling day and night just to survive, while the selected few, the mighty elitists having all the fun and joy of living.

Inequality is the problem, the cause, the root of all and any corruption. This very inequality exist within the human mind, it sees itself as special and all others as nothing. The mind only cares for itself and for its bloodlines, children, grandchildren, siblings etc. I mean how often do you worry about your enemy's children and their well being as you worry about your kids?

Humans exist in tiny groups for self-protection and self-survival, in that, never considering the well being of rest of humanity, therefore competition, greed, corruption are yes wars are natural consequences of the current system we have created for ourselves.

So returning to the definition of corruption, I would say, wherever there is 'inequality' there is embedded corruption, simply because within inequality some groups are left out. Inequality and corruption are one and the same.

And there is the mother of all corruptions, to leave out parts of humanity, while some enjoy. So lets get rid of corruption forever more, be it in India or rest of this world.

After 8 days of hunger strike, the prominent Indian yoga guru has called off his fast. Apparently another prominent Indian guru Sri Sri Ravi Shankar has persuaded Ramdev to end this madness. well i am glad ramdev is alive. Now what, is the question. Ramdev with a following of 30 million TV viewers for his own show is no fool, he knows exactly how pieces are moving within the current money and political systems in India. But why can't he see that corruption in India has no cure within the current system. why can't he understand that no political party can offer a corruption free rule in the nation, its a pipe dream to wish for such thing.

Equal Life Party and Equal Money System are the only real solutions. But why? 

Self-forgiveness brings about self-honesty, as humans become self-honest they can become real human beings. Therefore real self-honest politicians will be born. Again, this is only possible with self-forgiveness and self honesty. Swami ramdev's popularity nor his large following is of no use to Equal Money System movement without the application of self forgiveness. Fasting unto death is useless.

Even if you die Swami Ramdev, nothing is really going to change. Lets imagine you actually died from this fast, you held onto your words, and you died in demanding an end to corruption in India.

Lets’ walk through the scenarios:

Your heroic death will be announced like the death of a valiant prince, your followers will wail and mourn for days, perhaps a week before they return to their regular normal jobs, TV channels will cash in big time by flashing your funeral images. The corrupt Government of India will declare a state of mourning, the Indian flags will fly at half mask, some sad tunes will played on national Indian radio stations, some protesters will continue to gather for sometime before they return to their regular jobs.

How long will the show of your heroic death last? Officially 3 days of mourning, perhaps another week or two.

Months or years down the road people will not even remember your name. By the next national election time, Swami Ramdev will be remembered like the Rama of the Ramayana, just a long forgotten folk hero.  While Rama tried to save Sita from the evil Ravana, Swami Ramdev fasted unto death to end the evil of corruption in India.

At best, the average Indian might mention you down the road, but you will not retain your current hero status. Thanks to TV business and your 30 million viewers, you are a hero today, but after your death, you will be forgotten just like a dead fly on the windscreen.

Your fast unto death approach is utterly useless.

So, Swami Ram dev waste not your life on nonsense fast unto death drama, instead investigate a real solution. There is a real way to end corruption in India and elsewhere. How to end corruption in India ? Try Self-Forgiveness.

Due to the popular fast-unto-death thingy by Anna Hazare in india, there is a big uprising or should i call it, a TV movement, an urge going on in india to end corruption. very fascinating indeed.

it seems in every corner there is some politician or civil servant is busy making a name for him/herself in the arena of corruption. this problem of corruption of course is not an indian problem, its found in very corner of the world, wherever there is money, of course, corruption will be there. as everyone is trying to make a quick buck in the shortest possible way, so corruption is a way of life, it's a mean to make a living. i mean, if i was starving or my children are starving, i am sure i will resort to corrupt means to make money too.

in this crazy winner gets all system, where there is no care or concern, of course corruption is the way to go for some.

now these politicians and other big fellows, the makers and shakers of the current world system, they are corrupt because they want to make the 'most' out of the system. they want to earn for generations. i mean all those top notch CEOs, politicians, executives, the elite folks, they will make money nice way or corrupt way. they are into making big money for generations. corruption is simply a tool, only difference is some big fellows play it 'illegally' and get caught in the news media for corruption, while most big boys make their big moneys legally but highly corrupt meaning, not a drop of self honesty in their ways to making money. legally speaking, of course, they method is 'fine'. but we all know, it is not best for all.

so how do we end corruption in India ? it starts with the most simple solution, a simple tool, self-forgiveness. with that, self purification is initiated, with time, self is rebirthed as life.

so  if you're a real fucking Indian, and you want to end corruption in India, first, self-forgive yourself, rebirth yourself as life. then you will see the practical solutions to support life for ..

For sure, corruption will end within yourself, at least one non-corrupt India will be born, and that is YOU.

World cup is over. Has anything changed in India ?

week after winning the world cup, after all that partying, india is back to reality this week. i wonder how the poor  is surviving this week, has their reality changed? do they have an unconditional living allowance from birth to death? do they have unconditional access to medical service ? do they have access to education and self-correction ? has the poor in india, have their homeless situation changed since the world cup? do they have housing unconditionally ?

I guess not. with nearly 50% or more Indians below the poverty line, i mean really poor, the world cup or any other cup is not going to make any difference to them. yes the rich will get richer. the poor after partying a bit has to returned to their destitute living conditions. such is the life of a poor indian, yet so Proud to be an Indian, even in the dirty poverty.

Public toilets are a disgrace

I am here, Feb 12, 2011, my blogging continues.

Growing up in sri lanka, one of the worse memories is visiting public toilets when nature's call is unbearable. gosh, sometimes the awful smell is so bad, visiting a public toilet is like trying to commit suicide by the rotten perfume while taking a piss, and if your need is #2, only Jesus can save you.

Thanks to capitalism in downtown Colombo, some cleaners will charge a small fee for a bucket of water and reasonably well kept toilet, its still a visit to hell btw. today in ottawa i went to subway restaurant just wanting to use their restroom, the guy said, "sorry restrooms are for customers only". gosh fucking capitalism wont' even let you take a piss without making a buck out of you. such is the nature of things.

back to sri lanka, yes, public toilet systems are utter disgrace, its so bad, one i had to take a shit on top of somebody else's left overs. The accumulation effect, one's left over becomes another's nightmare.

All this goes to show, how fucked up this world is, even small thing like a taking a shit at a public facility is so messed up. Because nobody cares, and everyone is waiting for the other guy to clean up, so responsibility is a waiting game, i wait for you, while you wait for me. Not to mention the tons of red tape one has to go thru to get anything done for the good of public users. because of the all rich fuckers goto the 5 star hotels to wipe their asses, yep they will give you the water in a golden bucket to clean your ass. goto a public place, you will face hell without dying.

With Equal Life Party, responsibility is not a waiting game, we don't' wait for anyone, and responsibility is not selective, we identify the problem, we solve the problem. all problems are our problems.  

Sanitation is a massive problem in the third world, i am speaking from personal experience, no stats are available on these matters, i mean who the fuck will go and collect stats on public toilet usage, capitalist might do that to make some money out of it.

And india is hell when it comes to public toilets, let me not goto that subject. One wonders' with all their apparent education and high class intellectuals and what not, still can't keep their public facilities clean. simple answer, no one has taken the responsibility, politicians are too busy making money, and everyone in between is doing the same, all trying to survive. who has the time nor the will to worry about public shit holes, its for the poor anyways.

With Equal Life Party, cleaning up and providing safe and healthy public facilities for every community, every town, every village is a top responsibility. This is not a joke, not a single party has addressed issues relating to public sanitation and facilities, of course why would they. They have better and more important things to do.

I am one vote for clean public facilities everywhere in the world, can't have heaven on earth with stinking toilets. I am one vote for cleaning up this world, every public facility will be maintained to highest standards, This is our responsibility.
